Accounts Receivable Manager - Glasgow

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Receivable Manager to make a significant contribution to the growth of this award–winning, international technology manufacturing business.

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will be responsible for management of the Accounts Receivable team, with direct responsibility for UK debt collection and accounts receivable activities in other global Peak entities. This is a fast- paced role and you will be responsible for implementing agreed credit control processes globally, with a focus on reporting.

Target driven, with the ability to create strong working relationships across our global business, you will have proven experience of managing a small team within a busy finance function.

Key Tasks:

  • Lead the Accounts Receivable team and maintain accurate individual measurement and team performance statistics.

  • Provide structured information on expected cash receipts to the Group Finance Manager for the purposes of cash flow reporting.

  • Provide weekly reports of amounts outstanding on an aged basis along with commentary on status and actions/next steps etc.

  • Ownership and management of the agreed escalation process for accounts receivable including the communications and actions required for problem debts/accounts and liaison, if required, with third party agencies.

  • Be proactive in anticipating developments and identify accounts that will require special attention / procedures.

  • Handle disputed accounts and negotiate to bring payment into line with agreed terms.

  • Undertake complex reconciliations when required to agree balances due from customers.

  • Maintenance of appropriate credit analysis and credit limits for each customer.

  • Manage all HR responsibilities of the accounts receivable team including annual leave and performance reviews

With a good standard of education, you will have excellent IT skills, including experience of working with an integrated ERP system. Experience of working with SAP would be beneficial. You will also have fantastic organisational skills with an adaptable approach to business change and good commercial awareness. Experience of working within a global group is essential.
