Assistant Finance Business Partner EMEA - Glasgow

Work Pattern: Full time, permanent role with hybrid working 3 days in the office/2 days working from home   

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Finance Business Partner for EMEA to make a significant contribution to the growth of our award–winning, global technology manufacturing business. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner for EMEA, your main responsibility is to assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations for multiple group entities. You will also provide support with the preparation of VAT returns, ad hoc compliance work and acting as a key support to different departments across our global business.

In addition your key tasks will include –

  • Assisting with monthly management accounts reporting packs for several group entities, inclusive of provision of quality in-depth insight and analysis
  • Assisting with statutory financial statements, ensuring correct compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Responsibility for general ledger accounting, including processing of accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, tax etc.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of turnover recorded though analysing order and delivery through to invoice and cash
  • Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparation of ancillary returns including VAT, EC Sales List, and Intrastat
  • Preparation of information required for tax returns
  • Playing a key part in the future of the new finance systems implementation globally
  • Implementing, ensuring compliance and providing support on global policies, procedures, guidance documents and internal controls across several group entities.

You will be a Qualified accountant or studying for a relevant accounting qualification; adaptable and resilient, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be responsive to business change.

You will also have:

  • Been working as a Finance Assistant or a similar role
  • Knowledge and working experience of ERP system
  • Experience of working with SAP would be beneficial
  • Strong team player who has the skills to work across different cultures and personalities.
