Associate Product Manager - Glasgow

A fast-paced and challenging Product Management role within the growing marketing function of an award-winning, global technology manufacturing business.

As Associate Product Manager you will be a key part of the Product Management team, you will be responsible for assisting with management of all aspects of our extensive product portfolio,  supporting and driving global sales teams through analysis of sales trends, competitor activity, regional pricing and promotions and ensuring appropriate marketing and product positioning.

As a key driver of the Design Development Process, you will assist with assessing and managing new product projects from conception, through feasibility and defining business case, and on to launch. In the role of Associate Product Manager, you will bridging the gap between sales and engineering teams, as well as engaging externally with the market to inform new product development decisions. 

 Reporting to the Team Lead (Product Management) your major tasks will include:

  • Collating and assessing market requirements and channelling this via new product development proposals

  • Conduct market research to identify new applications and competitor threats

  • Provide support for defining pricing strategy

  • Monitor ROI throughout the product life cycle and responding to changing market

  • Managing existing product portfolio – full lifecycle management

  • Work closely with Marketing colleagues to conduct pro-active promotional campaigns for products across key target markets and geographies

  • Input into forecasting and global pricing strategy across relevant product categories

To deliver the growth we are looking for, you will need a Degree-level qualification in a Marketing, Business or Life Science discipline, ideally with a proven track record in product management, product marketing or technical sales. This position may also be suitable for a dynamic candidate with the relevant transferable skills to transition from a sales/marketing or technical role into Product Management. 

Strong project management skills and a proven ability to prioritize and complete multiple projects with tight timelines are essential.
