Bookkeeper - Paris

An exciting opportunity has a risen for a Bookkeeper, at our French office based in Palaiseau  in the southern suburbs of Paris. You will be responsible for ensuring the recording and follow-up of all accounting matters in accordance to Peak policy, and regularly liaising with the Peak HQ finance team based in the UK.
 
Peak France started in 2014 following the transfer of business from one of our distributers in France.  Currently Peak France has a team of 8 mainly in Sales and Field Service, with plans to expand over the next few years. 
 
THE ROLE: Reporting directly to the Service Operations Manager - France, you will be a key member of the global finance team, working closely with Group Finance HQ. You will be responsible for:
  • Recording all accounting entries for the Company on the local ERP system, including entries provided by Peak’s local financial advisers (TVA, CIT, payroll etc);
  • Submit monthly accounts pack to Peak HQ finance team;
  • Manage accounts payable and supplier payments;
  • Manage customer / aged debtors;
  • Check and record all employee expenses;
  • Daily bank reconciliation;
  • Assist our local finance advisers in the preparation of periodic statutory submissions, including but not limited to TVA returns, annual CIT return and the annual financial statements;
  • Submission of monthly payroll data to the local payroll bureau and setting up payments to employees;
  • Inventory management;
  • Support the implementation of SAP ERP system for Peak France;
THE CANDIDATE: Previous experience in Bookkeeping and using Sage is essential. In addition you will have;
  • Experience of using Sage and SAP ERP systems is beneficial;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office 365 tools, plus experience of ERP management software;
  • Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines;
  • Good head for numbers and financial data; and
  • Highly self-motivated.
