Business Development Manager - Peak Industrial Division, India
India (Delhi) with 50% travel


Peak Scientific Instruments specialises in the manufacturing of laboratory gas generators for the industrial market.  We are looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to be responsible for our Industrial division and be part of our expanding team in Peak India.

We are an award winning Scottish company with our head office based in a modern facility near to Glasgow International Airport. We have experienced significant growth over the past years and have plans for aggressive growth during the next few years.  We export our products from our facility in Scotland to over 126 countries worldwide.  We have an expanding operation in India which is headquartered in New Delhi.


Reporting to the Head of Sales-India & South Asia, this role will be based in New Delhi and will involve extensive travel in the region and will be responsible for:

  • Screening potential business deals by analyzing market trends, company strategies, deal requirements and potential
  • Prospecting for potential clients and turn this into business
  • Ensuring a robust pipeline of opportunities by leveraging and growing your network
  • Opening business development dialogs with strategic customers
  • Working closely with Project Development team both India and overseas to develop vendors and suppliers for 3 PP sale.


The successful candidate will have 7 + years of proven solution sales experience, preferably selling in industrial & compressor industry and with the ability to drive large project sales. Consistent over achievement of sales quotas. An excellent communicator who is able to articulate the value proposition of Peak Product.  Will be a customer focussed individual with a solution sale mind-set that is able to listen and qualify customer needs. You must demonstrate excellent inter-personal skills, project management skills, proper time-management skills and the ability to develop relationships. You will be highly independent as this is a fairly autonomous role and have strong business acumen. Strong written and communication skills are essential as well as Microsoft Office skills.  Command over English is desirable.
