THE ROLE: As Commercial Sales Manager reporting to our Commercial Director (CD), you will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing commercial trends within sales and operational delivery; ensuring scalable and sustainable business growth is being maintained across the regions, in line with budget expectations and Global Business Objectives.

In addition you will be responsible for the following –

  • Supporting the CD with the introduction and implementation of global standardisation of business metrics and key commercial reporting.
  • Working with the Commercial Finance Manager (CFM) and Financial Controller (FC), ensuring the General Managers have relevant commercial controls and measures in place and Peak Commercial best practice is being adopted and adhered to.
  • Working with Finance in the preparation of month end reporting packs and narratives.
  • Working with Finance and General Managers in the preparation of annual budget submissions with particular focus on revenue generation.
  • Ownership of all current commercial trading agreements, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and not leaving the business exposed to any risk
  • Supporting the OEM team with our annual negotiation processes, and the preparation of new major customer bids, ensuring the correct commercial arrangements and master supply agreements are in place.

THE CANDIDATE: Preferably degree-educated, you must have proven expertise in contract management and the development of commercial agreements, encompassing knowledge of overseas markets and trading requirements.  Able to influence and drive cross-functional behaviour, you thrive in a fast-growing agile environment.  Your comprehensive experience of business finance, is underpinned by a real grasp of key drivers.  Your ability to support sales and business development when required matches your practical, numbers-oriented approach and exceptional people skills.  You can also offer:

  • the ability to work effectively under periods of high pressure
  • Experience in business development with the ability to support sales and business development for growth as and when required
  • the willingness and ability to travel regularly, often over weekends.
