Country Manager DACH - Germany

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Country/Regional Manager to join our growing EMEA team. A newly created position, the Country Manager will based out of our DACH territory (Germany location) and take on the day-to-day leadership and management of this strategically important territory.

Reporting to the General Manger EMEA, and as an active member of the EMEA Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will work very closely with the DACH team and peers on the SLT. The role will assume commercial leadership for the local commercial team and working alongside other members of the SLT to lead the overall DACH operation, including service delivery, operations and finance.

The role will require a multi-faceted skill set that is a competent commercial leader and manager – both across territories and cultures (with demonstrable evidence of this) - commercially astute, able to develop strategic and sustainable plans & execute on them to deliver tangible and sustainable results. There will be 40-50% travel within territory and wider EMEA region, including regular time spent at EMEA HQ.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Achieving and exceeding quarterly and annual commercial targets
  • Driving strategic profitable generator sales growth through OEM, Distributor and End-user channels
  • Service growth in contracts, spare parts and paid service. Meeting all objectives and targets for warranty conversion, on-time renewal and driving overall connect rate
  • Ensuring the DACH territory adheres and works within the EMEA / global Peak business processes / practices
  • Building, fostering and maintaining strong mutually beneficial relationships between DACH and EMEA / Global HQ teams
  • Market intelligence activities to ensure we are exploiting all available opportunities competitively.
  • Assuming responsibility for the territories P&L.

You will have a Bachelor or master’s degree in Scientific / Engineering, MBA an advantage. Be fluent in German and English. Have a proven track record in a similar leadership/commercial role in a similar industry with demonstrable transferable skills. Preferably familiar/experience of scientific / gas market and experience of working collaboratively for mutual success with an overseas / remote HQ.
