Location: Mexico DF with International travel 35%

THE COMPANY: Peak Scientific Instruments are a multi award winning company, who specialises in the manufacturing of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market, and Industrial generators for wide industry applications, with our head office based in Scotland.
 
We are actively reshaping the global laboratory and industrial gas generator market through innovative product design and world class service.  Our products offer superb technical performance and are smoother, quieter and more efficient than anything else in the market today. 
 
PEAK MEXICO: Began trading in 2014 following the growth of our OEM partnerships in Mexico.  Currently Peak Mexico has a team of 10, with plans to expand over the next few years. 
 
With this continuing success and growth we are looking for a Country Manager to drive sales across Mexico and LATAM-N, including business development, operational and financial results, profitability evaluation and local team management.
Our current turnover is $60M with plans in place to grow significantly over the next few years. Whilst we manufacture at our Scottish headquarters, we export 90% of our products to over 120 countries and have a number of global offices including the USA, China, South Africa, India, Brazil, Singapore, Mexico and Australia. 
 
THE ROLE: Reporting to the General Manager LATAM, this new role will involve extensive travel around Mexico and LATAM-N, and will be responsible for: 
  • Ensure targets achievement
  • Prepare annual sales budgets and reports
  • Prepare monthly performance reports
  • Visit distributors to develop distributors network and reinforce existing partnerships
  • Lead the team in all issues related with local operation
  • Management of sales process
  • Recruit staff, mentoring and training
  • Prepare business plans
  • Evaluate P&L accountability
  • Engage with customers and distributors
  • THINK about existing process improvements
 
THE CANDIDATE: You will have excellent verbal and written skills in Spanish and English. Educated with a Degree (preferably Science), with a Business Administration qualification would be a plus. You will have a proven, successful track record and a clear history of managing and achieving sales teams and targets. Extensive knowledge of Mexican markets within a relevant industry, combined with strong customer facing skills is essential.  International experience would be a bonus as key to this role is developing relationships with our OEMs, end users and distributors.  You will be an excellent problem-solver, both technically and commercially.  In addition to strong business acumen, including P&L knowledge you will be ambitious, driven and happy to be measured by results with a passion to develop people.
