Engineering Project Administrator - Glasgow

We’re very excited to be recruiting this new role within our growing Engineering Department at our HQ, Inchinnan. Reporting to the Project Planner, this role will play a key role in the successful and timely completion of engineering project activity alongside significant involvement in the smooth operation of the function. You will focus primarily on New Product Development involving regular communication and collaboration with multiple functions across the organisation. Additionally, the successful candidate will support several teams with the daily operations of the function.

Your duties will also include:

  • Communicating project milestones to teams and providing regular status updates to members
  • Scheduling project meetings and stage gates (in advance) 
  • Liaising with and communicating delays/status to Engineer Project Planner and working to resolve
  • Acting as focal point for project related queries from project members to coordinate conversations to resolve issues or areas of conflict
  • Organising and chairing schedule review meetings and reporting areas where executive decisions need to be made ensuring decisions are taken to relevant stakeholders
  • Monitoring and publishing slide decks for departmental including monthly reports and KPIs

You will have experience of an administrative role and ideally within a fast-paced organisation. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of coordinating various tasks simultaneously whilst being able to prioritise tasks. It would be highly advantageous if you have experience of engineering activities or fundamental engineering knowledge with demonstrable experience of budget and spend reporting.

You will also possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to work to timescales with particular attention to detail and accuracy
  • A high level of initiative and motivation to be a self-starter
  • Adaptability to change in priorities or strategy with agility to pivot
  • Excellent administrative skills and proficient in Microsoft Office package
  • Experience of MS Project or Power BI is beneficial
