European Service Support Specialist - Glasgow

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a European Service Support Specialist to join our Service division based in our headquarters in Scotland. This is challenging role where no two days are the same, however if you enjoy solving problems and have a genuine desire to grow with an award winning organisation, this could be the perfect role for you.
 
THE ROLE: Reporting to the European Service Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day running of the department providing a high level of technical support to a large network of field service engineers, technicians and distributors. They will be providing technical assistance, scheduling planned maintenance visits and breakdown call outs across Europe, and ensuring resources are managed effectively.
You will be responsible for;
  • Being the main point of contact for European FSE’s and Distributors. This will include offering technical assistance for generator issues and liaising with other internal departments.
  • Working to agreed targets for efficiency and productivity from service metrics.
  • Liaising with field service teams across Europe to help manage workloads effectively.
  • Arranging travel for Peak field service engineers where required.
  • Analysing and reporting on key service metrics.
  • Enhancing and developing departmental processes to ensure continual improvement and optimum customer satisfaction.
THE CANDIDATE: You will have experience of working with hydraulic and mechanical systems, with good practical skills and a methodical approach to problem solving. Experience of maintaining pressure systems and transportable gases in a similar or related industry would be advantageous. With strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload, you will be able to multi-task, prioritise and plan ahead. In addition you will be comfortable in analysing and manipulating numerical data, and reporting information in a concise manner. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills allowing you to build relationships at all levels, as well as being self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously and to tight deadlines.
