An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Events Coordinator to join our marketing team in Billerica, MA to make a significant contribution to our fast-paced manufacturing company which has experienced significant growth in recent years.

Your role will be to implement trade shows, seminars and internal meeting activities in North America to directly support the US and Canada Sales and Service Team’s efforts across all market verticals.  You will be the local go-to liaison for all exhibition needs and delivery of output, as well as a key liaison for the HQ marketing team. You will drive increased lead generation, greater ROI and higher levels of brand awareness from marketing expenditure.

THE ROLE: Reporting to the NA Scientific Sales Manager, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Event planning and managing all project delivery elements
  • Coordinating all local exhibition & seminar activity in collaboration with the Global Marketing Team (HQ)
  • Researching the market, identifying event opportunities and collaborating with Global and local marketing teams to promote and publicize events
  • Organizing facilities and managing all event details such as decor, catering, entertainment, transportation, location, invitee list, special guests, AV equipment, promotional material etc.
  • Specifying staff requirements and coordinating their activities
  • Managing collation of exhibition/event sales leads and input to CRM
  • Tracking and reporting on lead/opportunity success via the CRM system and following up with the local sales team
  • Conducting pre- and post – event evaluations and report on outcomes against pre-determined KPIs and report periodically to stakeholders
  • Keeping track of local exhibition expenditure within limits of any agreed budget
  • Managing local (North America) inventory of marketing assets inc. brochures, giveaways and display stand/systems
  • Providing general local marketing coordination assistance in support of NA team or Global Marketing team


You will have had 2+ years’ event management experience with a portfolio of previously managed events with a focus on B2B markets and you will have the ability to coordinate complex events involving people and material logistics. You will be a creative thinker and problem solver with a high degree of initiative as well as excellent time management and communication skills. You will also be competent with Microsoft office packages and have experience of working with CRM software (SAP is advantageous). Copywriting and proof-reading skills are also advantageous.
