We have an excellent opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join our Service Delivery Team. The role will predominately be based in the Midlands/Central area of England.
Reporting to the Northern Europe Service Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out service visits, covering Peak Scientific, Industrial and third-party products to maintain the local installed base in operational condition. Primarily covering the Midlands area, other travel within the EMEA territory may be sometimes required. This role will also be key in the day-to-day running of Peak service delivery. This is not an IT role, we're looking for someone with electro-mechanical experience ideally.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Carrying out routine maintenance, emergency repairs, installations and training as well as general support in a professional, prompt and efficient manner to ensure total customer satisfaction
- Responding effectively and professionally to all customer requests ensuring that HQ Technical Support are informed to record onto Service Management System
- Providing a clear and accurate service report for all work carried out
- Maintaining personal stock of parts and carrying out inventory checks as requested
- Taking the initiative to continually enhance and develop knowledge and understanding of the complete product range
- Establishing an effective relationship with Technical Support to ensure a high level of communication and co-operation for all aspects of customer and product support
- Taking the lead in more complex installations involving third party products
You will bring good practical skills to this role with a methodical approach to resolving problems. Ideally, you’ll have a complete and detailed understanding of pressure systems and transportable gases.
