Peak Scientific Instruments, a fast–growing company specializing in the manufacturing of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market is looking to recruit Field Service Engineer to support our customers and OEMs in Western territory of India.
We are an award-winning company, with our head office based in Scotland, by Glasgow Airport and have a very strong reputation in the marketplace. Our current turnover is £80M, with plans to grow significantly over the next few years. We export 90% of our sales to approximately 126 countries and have number of global offices including USA, China, South Africa, India, Brazil, Singapore, Mexico, and Australia.
Reporting to Territory Service In charge role will be based at West, India and involve extensive travel.
Main Job functions:

Provide a high level of hands-on service and technical advice for Peak customers, OEM’s, re-sellers, and internal staff.

Actively seek and give feed-back on market intelligence, leads & opportunities to the local team including generator sales, installations, service, knowledge and new markets in Mumbai.

Ensure that a high level of customer satisfaction is provided for the service and support of all Peak Scientific products by working within a “right first time” culture.

Solid understanding of Pressure & Flow systems ability to handle complex & tricky on-site issues. Conduct routine maintenance, breakdown repairs and installations at customer sites.

Working remotely from regional office, you must be prepared to provide service back up or technical support during holidays, sickness cover etc and travelling as and when required.

Maintain inventory in regional office.

Ensure an effective liaison with technical support to ensure a high level of communication and co-operation for all aspects of customer and product support.

Location: Preferably Western Line Mumbai or Navi Mumbai

Own Vehicle preferred for local commuting.
Required set of Qualifications and skills
-
Educational requirements – Diploma/Graduate in Engineering- Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical

Experience more than 5 years, maintaining pressure systems and transportable gases in a similar or related industry would be an advantage.

Self-motivation and Ability to self-learn, work remotely and online.

Quick to learn new skills, technology, and concepts.

Good understanding of Health and Safety as it impacts the position.

A good understanding & working knowledge of Compressors / Pump’s and electrical system.

An appreciation and basic understanding of electronic control systems (PLC’s).

Good practical skills and a methodical approach to resolving problems.

Ability to work under pressure against tight business deadlines.

Good communication, IT and interpersonal skills

Language skills – English, Hindi & Marathi would be preferred.

Holding valid car driving licence.
