Peak Scientific Instruments, a fast-growing company specialising in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market, is looking to recruit a talented Field Service Engineer – Middle East.

THE ROLE: Reporting to the Service Manager – India, SA and Middle East, this role will be based in Abu Dhabi / Dubai and involve extensive travel.
Your main job functions will include:

Providing a high level of service and technical support to Peak’s customers and OEM’s.

Working remotely with head office, you must be prepared, if requested, to provide worldwide service back up or technical support during holidays, sickness etc.

Ensuring that a high level of customer satisfaction is provided for the service and support of all Peak Scientific products.

Conduct routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and installations at customer sites.

Maintain personal stock of parts and carry out inventory checks as requested.

Working with the sales and Service Sales teams to develop both sales and service business in the territory.

Working collaboratively with all Peak departments to ensure a high level of communication for all aspects of customer and product support.

Techno-Commercial approach to ensure that customer relationship is at Peakand playand active role into revenue generation activities.

Providing customers with a detailed service report and respond to all customer requests for service and support (telephone and email).
Skills required:
-
Educational requirements – Diploma / Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.

Experience in maintaining pressure systems and transportable gases in a similar or related industry would be an advantage.

A good understanding and working knowledge of hydraulic / pneumatic and electrical system.

An appreciation and basic understanding of electronic control systems (PLC’s).

Good practical skills and a methodical approach to resolving problems.

Ability to work under pressure against tight business deadlines.

Good communication, IT and interpersonal skills.

Good perception of H&S Legislation and its implications in the workplace.

Language skills – English, Hindi and preferable local language.

This is an autonomous position and the Field Service Engineer must have self-discipline, be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
