Field Service Engineer - North West England - Northern England

We have an excellent opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join our Service Delivery Team. The role will predominately be based in North Central England, centred between Liverpool and Manchester.

In this role, you will be providing a high level of Service support and advice for Peak customers, OEMs, distributors and internal staff.  Whilst being a member of the UK Service team, you will primarily work alone at customer sites, where ensuring a high degree of satisfaction is provided for the service and support of all Peak Scientific products.  You will work with the Sales team to seek-out and develop new business opportunities whilst providing backup for Service management in the field or office as required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Carrying out routine maintenance, emergency repairs, installations and training as well as general support in a professional, prompt and efficient manner to ensure total customer satisfaction
  • Responding effectively and professionally to all customer requests for service and support, including telephone and email
  • Providing customers with a clear and accurate service report for all work carried out through use of the mobile CRM.
  • Maintaining and replenishing personal stock of parts and carry out inventory checks as requested
  • Taking the initiative to continually enhance and develop knowledge and understanding of the complete product range

You will bring good practical skills to this role with a methodical approach to resolving problems. Ideally, you’ll have a complete and detailed understanding of pressure systems and transportable gases.

  • Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills
