Field Service Technician - Sao Paulo

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Field Service Technician to join our growing Service team, located in São Paulo, Brazil.
 
Peak Inc. is a fast growing company, with its Brazil office located in São Paulo. You would be joining a Brazilian team of around 15 staff, including dedicated sales and field service engineer teams covering the whole country.
 
THE ROLE: Reporting to the LATAM-S Service Manager, you will be responsible for providing a high level of service and technical advice for Peak customers, OEM’s, distributors and internal staff ensuring the quality and effectiveness of after sales support.
 
Your main job functions will include:
  • Carrying our routine maintenance, emergency repairs, installations and training as well as general support in a professional, prompt and efficient manner to ensure total customer satisfaction.
  • Responding effectively and professionally to all customer requests for service and support (telephone and email).
  • Providing customers with a clear and accurate service report for all work carried out. Submit all service reports at the end of each week or as often as requested by the office.
  • Maintaining and replenishing personal boot stock of parts and carry out inventory checks as requested.
  • Ensuring an effective liaison with other Peak departments (sales, marketing, logistics, engineering and production) to ensure a high level of communication and co-operation for all aspects of customer and product support.
  • Informing service manager of all serious customer complaints and escalations that take in excess of 48 hours to resolve.
  • Taking the initiative to continually enhance and develop knowledge and understanding of the complete product range.
 
THE CANDIDATE:
  • Technician in Electronics, Mechanical or Mechatronics.
  • Training and qualifications in related areas.
  • Complete and detailed understanding of pressure systems and transportable gases.
  • Good practical skills, with a methodical approach to resolving technical problems.
  • Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to build relationships both internally and externally.
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety as it impacts the position.
  • Advanced English language skills.
