Peak Scientific, a fast-growing organization specializing in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market, is looking to recruit a talented Field Service Technician to join our vibrant team in Brazil. Reporting to the Service Manager – LATAM, with a dotted line to our General Manager – LATAM, this new role involves extensive travel around the region.

We export 90% of our sales to approximately 126 countries. We have an expanding operation in LATAM with offices in São Paulo and Mexico. Key tasks
- Carry out routine maintenance, emergency repairs, installations and training as well as general support in a professional, prompt and efficient manner to ensure total customer satisfaction.
- Respond effectively and professionally to all customer requests for service and support (telephone and email).
- Provide customers with a clear and accurate service report for all work carried out. Submit all service reports at the end of each week or as requested by the office.
- Maintain and replenish personal boot stock of parts and carry out inventory checks as requested.
- Ensure an effective liaison with other Peak departments (sales, marketing, logistics, engineering and production) to ensure a high level of communication and co-operation for all aspects of customer and product support.
- Inform service manager of all serious customer complaints and escalations.
With exceptional customer service and communication skills, you will also possess:
- Experience of working with pressure systems and transportable gases.
- Experience of electronics, hydraulics and mechanical systems.
- Self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good practical skills and a methodical, positive approach to resolving problems.
- Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines.
- A flexible approach to travel with a valid license and vehicle.
- Fluency in English and local language.
- Able to interface comfortably and effectively both internally and externally with a broad spectrum of personalities.
- Experience of working as a technician in electronic or mechanic or mechatronics;
- Training and qualifications in related areas.
