Field Service Technician - Poland

Peak Scientific Instruments, a fast–growing company specialising in the design and manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market is looking to recruit a Field Service Technician

We have gained an outstanding reputation in the market place, having recently won our 6th Queen’s award for industry. Our current turnover is £44M with plans to grow significantly over the next few years.  90% of our products are exported to over 126 countries and we have a number of global offices including USA, China, South Africa, India, Brazil, Singapore, Mexico and Australia.

Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager Europe, the successful applicant will ideally be based in the Poznan/Lodz/Warsaw regions. The role will involve extensive travel across Poland and possibly neighbouring countries.

Main Job functions:

  • Provide a high level of service delivery and technical support for Peak Scientific’s customers.
  • Work closely with the area Senior Field Service Engineer to develop your experience across the product range and further develop good working relationships with the customers in your area.
  • Ensure that a high level of customer satisfaction is provided for the service and support of all Peak Scientific products by working within a “right first time” culture.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, breakdown repairs and installations at customer sites.
  • Working remotely from head office, you must be prepared to provide worldwide service back up or technical support during holidays, sickness cover etc.

Skills required:

  • A formal engineering apprenticeship in M & E engineering is advantageous.
  • This is an autonomous position and the Field Service Technician must have self-discipline, be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • A good understanding & working knowledge of hydraulic / pneumatic systems and electrical systems.
  • An appreciation and basic understanding of electronic control systems (PLC’s).
  • Ability to work under pressure, often against tight business deadlines.
  • Good communication, IT and interpersonal skills.
  • Good perception of H&S Legislation and its implications in the workplace.

Experience:

The Field Service Technician will have experience of maintaining pressure systems and transportable gases in a similar or related industry.
