Peak Scientific, a fast-growing organization specializing in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market, is looking to recruit a Finance Analyst to join our vibrant team in Mexico.

We export 90% of our sales to approximately 126 countries. We have an expanding operation in LATAM with offices in São Paulo and Mexico. Reporting to the Office Manager, the candidate will be responsible for providing support to local and HQ managers and teams regarding all finance processes. You will also be implementing local accountancy controls and working as interface with local teams and HQ regarding finance processes.
Key Duties include:
- Monitoring and recording all financial transactions
- Processing, auditing and providing first level authorisation for all expenses
- Assisting in the transition of accounting and service systems
- Verifying, recording and processing incoming and outgoing invoices ensuring all payments are made/received in a timely fashion
- Administering our expenses system along the Office Manager and LATAM GM
- Completing monthly reconciliation of banking records
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Liaising with external accountants and dealing with local compliance. e.g. Insurance, Banking
- Understanding Import/Export process and tax requirements
- Preparing finance reports for local and HQ teams
- Controlling and reporting profitability in all processes, as sales of generators, parts and contracts
- Preparing and reporting regarding local and HQ budgets
You must have a degree in Accounting and ideally will have experience in bookkeeping with excellent verbal and written English. You will be highly organised with exceptional communication and time management skills.
You will also possess:
- Strong Microsoft Office skills are essential, especially Excel, plus experience of ERP management software
- A Customer focused approach
- Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines
- Experience with accounting systems and accounting principles
- Self-motivation and ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Good knowledge and understanding of English and Spanish languages, with the possibility to growth in the company with possible expansion of territory coverage
