Finance Assistant - Glasgow

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a temporary Finance Assistant due to maternity cover, to join our Finance Team at Peak HQ in Inchinnan, Renfrew with global colleague interaction. This role will initially be for 12 months. 

This role will be responsible for managing all areas of banking, whilst supporting the Tax and Treasury Manager and the Accountants by providing a range of accounting and clerical assistance within the Finance department.

The role will also involve:

  • Managing Global banking administration
  • Setting up bank payments
  • Managing bank reconciliations for entities managed in the UK
  • Maintaining and managing global compliance calendars and submissions from overseas teams
  • Assisting in the global cash flow forecasting process
  • Preparing and taking ownership of dividend paperwork
  • Assisting with intercompany reconciliations
  • Being responsible for I/C loan documentation
  • Assisting the Tax and Treasury Manager with other tasks to ensure the department keeps running smoothly; and
  • Performing ad hoc projects as required.

You will have proven work experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role and whilst not essential, ideally studying AAT/ACCA/CIMA and with a genuine interest in business and finance.

The ideal candidate will also possess:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work to timescales
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • The initiative to drive things forward and the ability to adapt
  • Good administrative skills; and Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of working with SAP, beneficial but not essential
