Location: Glasgow, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire with some travel to our international offices.
Work Pattern: Full time, permanent role with hybrid working 3 days in the office/2 days working from home
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Business Partner to make a significant contribution to the growth of our award–winning, global technology manufacturing business. Your main responsibility is to produce Management Accounting reports on both current and forecasted financial positions, including the provision of quality in-depth insight and analysis and to assist the UK Financial Controller in the day to day support of all finance functions across several group entities.
In addition your key tasks will include –
- Preparation of statutory financial statements, ensuring correct compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Responsibility for general ledger accounting, including processing of accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, tax etc
- Ensuring the accuracy of turnover recorded through analysing order and delivery through to invoice and cash
- Responsibility for cost accounting and inventory analysis on period by period basis: creating standard costs, preparing variance and inventory analysis, managing inventory valuations, physical inventories and cycle counts
- Preparation of budgets and review of budget proposals
- Providing financial support to the different departments within the company, including providing financial advice and support in terms of budgeting, potential cost savings, day to day spend requirements, periodic performance against forecast and ad hoc advice
- Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of ancillary returns including VAT, EC Sales List and Intrastat
- Preparation of information required for UK and overseas tax returns

You will have experience of:
- Producing good quality management reporting packs with in-depth insight and analysis
- Budget processes
- Challenging existing processes and implementing more efficient and effective procedures
- ERP systems
- Working with SAP would be beneficial
- Working with a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including standard costing systems, would be useful.
