Global Stock Controller - Glasgow

THE ROLE: As Global Stock Controller reporting to our Operations Director, your primary function is the management of finished global goods, as well as ensuring raw material stocks are aligned to our business forecast.  You will also be responsible for auditing transactional integrity and stock accuracy.
 
Further key accountabilities include:
  • Reducing aged inventory and increasing stock turns
  • Evaluating and approving spares requests vs Min-Max levels
  • Reviewing and adjusting stock levels where appropriate
  • Weekly reporting and maintenance of stock and waste KPIs
  • Co-ordinating audit activities
  • Maintaining accurate records of inventory and stock management systems
  • Engaging in forecast of supply and demand to obtain information useful in improving the continuity of supply chain
  • Engaging with the warehouse and ensuring proper stock arrangement
  • Overseeing placement of intercompany orders and ensuring requested goods are required
  • Working with the Planning team to ensure required products are readily available
 
THE CANDIDATE: You must have experience within a similar stock/inventory global focussed role, including managing forecasting and knowledge of ERP inventory management systems.
 
Your other attributes include:
 
  • Analytical and numerical skills
  • MS Office skills and ideally experience of SAP beneficial
  • Excellent Communication skills
  • Pragmatic problem-solving capability
