Group Accountant - Glasgow

Glasgow, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire with some travel to our international offices.

Full time, permanent role with hybrid working 3 days in the office/2 days working from home 

Due to an internal move we are looking for a Group Accountant who would like to make a significant contribution to the growth of our award–winning,  global technology manufacturing business.

Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager (GRM) you will be responsible for the management of our global reporting processes for the Peak group (namely consolidated monthly results & strategic plans) inclusive of quality in-depth insight and analysis. Including assisting the GRM in the development, implementation, maintenance and support on global policies, procedures and guidance documents. Building relationships with finance teams across the Group will be critical to your success in the role.

Key duties:

Preparing the group consolidated statutory accounts, including assisting with the year end audit and liaising with the auditors

Responsibility for the overview and management of the non-trading entities within the Group

  Co-ordinating the monthly and annual ledger close process across the Group

  Responsibility for the management and maintenance of the Group ledger, including master data

  Analysing and reconciling Group intercompany balances

  Assisting the GRM with transfer pricing implementation and management throughout the group

  Leading the annual insurance renewal process

  Playing a key part in the future of the new finance systems implementation globally.

Our ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with solid experience of producing good quality management reporting packs with in-depth insight and analysis, as well as possess the following:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build effective working relationships
  • Proactive/Self-Starter with the initiative to drive things forward and a proven track record of challenging existing processes and implementing more efficient procedures
  • Highly motivated with a delivery focus and the ability to balance conflicting requirements
  • Adaptable to business change and a fast-paced environment with a growth agenda
  • Knowledge and working experience of SAP would be beneficial.
