Location: Glasgow, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire with some travel to our international offices          

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Group Reporting Manager to make a significant contribution to the growth of our award–winning, global technology manufacturing business.

Your main responsibility is to support the Group Finance Director to lead global reporting processes for the Peak group, including the provision of quality in-depth insight and analysis. You will take a prominent role in the development, implementation, maintenance and support on global policies, procedures, and guidance documents.

In addition your key tasks will include –

  • Monitoring of performance across the Group on a monthly basis, ensuring appropriate corrective action is being taken in a timely manner;

  • Responsibility for the group consolidated statutory accounts, ensuring group accounting is fully compliant with relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements;

  • Co-ordination of annual Group audit with external auditors as well as support the divisions with audit queries;

  • Responsibility for the non-trading entities within the Group;

  • Ownership of the monthly and annual ledger close process across the Group;

  • Responsibility for the management and maintenance of the Group ledger, including all aspects of master data;

  • Assist the Group Finance Director in ensuring the most appropriate Group Structure is in place, working with external advisors, liquidating and setting up new entities globally as required;

  • Lead the annual insurance renewal process across the Group;

  • Develop, implement, maintain and provide support on global policies, procedures and guidance documents;

  • Assist the Group Finance Director in the development and implementation of a global internal control module, including identification of key business risks;

  • Be the key driver in proposing, effecting and supporting process improvements both locally and across the global finance function (using financial measurement to drive performance improvement and change where required);

  • Develop and strengthen relationships with key management across the Group, ensuring compliance with Group accounting policies, effective communication and implementation of changes to policies and accounting developments and working with them to drive process improvements;

  • Assist the Group Finance Director in enhancing the profile of Global Finance through building relationships with finance teams across the Group, assisting and leading events such as training and finance updates and providing support on compliance and statutory accounting matters;

  • Be the key contact of the new finance systems implementation globally;

  • Lead, develop and manage the group accountant to ensure the delivery of all key deliverables on a monthly basis;

You will also possess:

  • A strong financial accounting background and experience, including preparation of consolidated and statutory accounts;

  • Good technical knowledge to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and procedures;

  • Proven track record of challenging existing processes and implementing more efficient and effective procedures;

  • Knowledge and experience of how to develop a strong corporate control environment;

  • Experience of financial auditor preparation and liaison;

  • Experience of working with SAP would be beneficial;

  • Working experience of insurance renewal processes and liaison with brokers preferential;

  • Commercially aware with a good understanding of a fast-paced manufacturing environment would be useful.

  • Willingness and flexibility to travel to Group locations as required and agreed with the Group Finance Director.
