Head of Finance EMEA - Glasgow

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a EMEA Head of Finance to make a significant contribution to the growth of our award–winning, global technology manufacturing business. Your main responsibility is to deliver a first-class finance function for our EMEA business, improving the overall clarity of key decisions across the business. The role will be UK based, but may require travel to some of our European offices / countries.

In addition your key tasks will include –

  • Facilitating effective business decisions through financial modelling – developing, running, and controlling budget and forecasting processes for the EMEA business

  • Delivering robust financial analysis to provide insight into business performance and aid decision-making

  • Management of monthly management accounts reporting packs for the EMEA entities, inclusive of provision of quality in-depth insight and analysis

  • Management of the financial transaction processing, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately, timely and efficiently across the EMEA entities, with focus on key areas such as revenue (including order to cash reconciliation and deferred revenue)

  • Monitoring of EMEA performance monthly, ensuring appropriate corrective action

  • Review and sign-off of monthly balance sheet reconciliations

  • Responsibility for statutory financial statements, ensuring full compliance with relevant accounting standards and reporting requirements for EMEA entities

  • Cash management and working capital analysis and review across EMEA

  • Responsibility for ensuring compliance and providing support on global policies, procedures, guidance documents and internal controls for the EMEA business

  • Leading, developing and managing the EMEA accountant to ensure the delivery of all key deliverables monthly

  • Assist the EMEA General Manager with financial ad-hoc projects as required

You will be a Qualified accountant with relevant PQE; commercially aware with a good understanding of a fast-paced sales environment and complex business.

You will also have:

  • Strong financial modelling skills

  • Strong financial accounting background and experience, with an understanding of International Accounting Standards

  • Proven track record of challenging existing processes and implementing more efficient and effective procedures

  • Willingness and flexibility to travel to Group locations as required and agreed with the Group Financial Controller.
