HR Generalist 

Due to continuing success and growth, we are looking for a HR Generalist (HRG) to support our operations in North America. The role will be based from our Billerica office with regional responsibilities of 65 employees. 

Reporting directly to the General Manager for North America and with a dotted line to the Global HR Manager, this HRG position will work in true partnership with the business, playing a key role in supporting our people strategy, providing wide-ranging operational HR support to NA. You will act as an employee champion, a culture carrier and  a change agent, ensuring that our Peak values form the core of our operations whilst maintaining the Peak culture throughout this region.

Other key deliverables include:

  • Ensure the region complies with applicable employment legislation, anticipate changes in legislation and take appropriate action by advising GM & GHRM of required action
  • Responsibility for researching, developing and updating policies, procedures, and guidelines for region, liaising with Compliance Officer to ensure regions HR is compliant with local laws and legislation
  • Partnering with managers on matters of discipline, grievance and performance improvement, providing guidance to ensure consistent approach and policies and legislation are followed, and escalating where appropriate to the GHRM
  • Manage any legal disputes within region as may arise as a result of employment, liaising with legal advisors and escalating to GM & GHRM as required
  • Contribute towards the strategy by supporting the full scope of HR activities such as performance management, total rewards, employee relations, coaching and team development
  • Partnering with Recruitment to support all aspects of the recruitment process for region
  • Managing monthly payroll for region, initiating with local providers, submitting any changes required for the month and liaising with Finance colleagues through to payment approval
  • Supporting GM & GHRM with benchmarking exercises and salary review process

You will have a significant experience working as a HR generalist in recruiting, compensation and benefits, employee relations, talent development, organizational change, labour relations, employee development, and performance management. In addition you will have a high level of employment law knowledge related to NA and a track record of working in culturally diverse organisations. A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or psychology, business, or related field is essential. You will have a “can do” attitude, sense of humour and excellent relationship management skills and the ability to quickly establish credibility and trust.
