We have an excellent opportunity for an Industrial Field Service Engineer to join our Service Delivery Team. This is a brand-new vacancy providing the highest level of service and technical advice to our Peak customers, OEM’s, distributors and internal staff. Reporting to the UK Service Manager, you will assist in both Scientific projects and also larger scale gas installation projects. The role will ensure a high level of customer satisfaction is provided for the service and support of all Peak Scientific products at all time, including third party products including air compressors and dryers.
THE ROLE: As the Industrial Field Service Engineer, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Carrying out routine maintenance, emergency repairs, installations and training as well as general support in a professional, prompt and efficient manner to ensure total customer satisfaction.
- Providing technical input and support to both scientific and industrial sales opportunities.
- Prompting and accurate completion of tasks assigned in the service management system.
- Maintaining and replenishing personal stock of parts and carry out inventory checks as requested.
- Ensuring an effective liaison with other Peak departments (sales, marketing, logistics, engineering and production) to ensure a high level of communication and co-operation for all aspects of customer and product support.
- Informing service supervisor/manager of all serious customer complaints and escalations that take in excess of 48 hours to resolve.
- Taking the initiative to continually enhance and develop knowledge and understanding of the complete product range
THE CANDIDATE: You will have previous experience of rotary screw and scroll compressors as well as a detailed understanding of pressure systems and transportable gases. You will have a methodical approach to problem solving and can work under pressure against tight deadlines. You will also have good communication and interpersonal skills which includes being able to comfortable and effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Training and qualifications in related areas is essential.
