We have an exciting new role for an Industrial Engineer to join our Engineering team in Inchinnan. This is an excellent opportunity for someone skilled in time study engineering to join a fast-paced manufacturing company that has experienced significant growth in recent years.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Senior Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing new data and standard times for input into SAP for Capacity Planning functions. Also, to review and update standard times following ECN or process changes, ensuring data in SAP is current and accurate

  • Supporting shop floor management with reference data on process times to establish shop floor efficiencies with regards to sub-assembly and generator build.

  • Analysis of processes using processes such as DOTS, RAS, PMTS/MOST will identify process and product improvements through facilitating Value Analysis of processes.

THE CANDIDATE

Your key attributes will include:

  • A minimum of an HND qualification in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Production Engineering and have a proven experience & sound engineering background, understanding materials and assembly processes, and have a hands-on approach to resolving and engineering solutions to problems.

  • An IMS Certificate would be advantageous.

  • Proven experience with one or more industrial engineering techniques such as Direct Observational Time Study (DOTS), Rated Activity Sampling (RAS), Predetermined Motion Time Systems (PMTS/MOST).

  • computer literate, having experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project. Experience of SAP Business-One and QPulse would be advantageous,

  • Knowledge of Lean and six-sigma techniques.
