IT Infrastructure Engineer - 6 month FTC - Glasgow

We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team on a fixed term contract for 6 months. Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, the job holder will be required to provide first and second level support and services to Peak internal customers ensuring that agreed service levels are maintained and achieved. In addition, the IT Infrastructure Engineer will work to standards and processes to meet and/or exceed customer expectations as deemed by the IT Infrastructure Manager as well as configure and provide IT support to Peak employee’s computer equipment and peripherals.

THE ROLE: As the IT Infrastructure Engineer, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Fulfilling Global service requests and incidents in a timely manner. Adhering to pre-defined processes and providing suitable information of fix implemented. Escalating to line manager as and when required.

  • Maintaining all client Global IT equipment ensuring these are kept up to date with the latest updates of required software.

  • Managing the activation and maintenance of Global mobile devices.

  • Undertaking fault finding and resolution of technical issues on client Global PC’s.

  • Following defined procedures for setting up IT equipment and users. Adhering to processes and offering process improvement as identified.

  • Liaising with clients to obtain clarity around faults reported and provide technical guidance where required.

  • Setting up new equipment and upgrading existing systems

KEY SKILLS:

  • Virtualised Environments (VMWare & Hyper-V)

  • Office 365 Suite

  • Administration of Active Directory/Group Policy

  • Skype for Business/Teams telephony experience

  • Network troubleshooting

  • SCCM or Intune experience advantageous

  • Experience of Azure/AWS

  • Remote administration of Windows Servers (2012-2019)

  • Familiarity with working in a support ticket system

  • Excellent hardware & software diagnostic skills
