IT Infrastructure Manager - Glasgow

Reporting to the Head of IT with direct responsibility for the global team (3), the IT Infrastructure Manager will have overall responsibility for the planning, management control, performance and changes to Global IT operational services and related architecture.  The role will also take responsibility for the development, maintenance and documentation of the Peak IT Infrastructure solution and will contribute to the development of the overall IT Strategy and roadmap.

Your key responsibilities –

  • To implement appropriate IT standards in the IT Infrastructure team, including ITIL and security standards.
  • To ensure that appropriate disaster and business continuity plans are in place for all Peak systems including backup and recovery procedures.
  • To implement appropriate security standards to protect company data and assets, including adherence to relevant legislation (e.g. GDPR).
  • To support the on-prem and Azure cloud-based infrastructure.
  • To ensure that the infrastructure deployed within Peak Scientific delivers the service required for optimal operation and usage of all global business applications. Work to continually improve service.
  • Identify and deliver infrastructure project roadmap and  construct business cases for new projects.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Will have previously worked as an IT Infrastructure Manager, preferably with SAP B1 experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing business practices in a global environment.
  • Knowledge of working with an IT vendors/partners to implement new solutions and deliver ongoing support.
  • Understanding/experience of Office 365 and Microsoft Azure Technologies/Capabilities.
  • Experience of delivery of SLAs and reporting on SLA compliance.
  • Experience in supporting infrastructure for cloud and on premise ERP, CRM, field service systems.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices, SLA creation and Agile Project Management or an equivalent project/programme management qualification would be desirable.
