THE COMPANY: Peak Scientific Instruments are a multi award winning company, who specialises in the manufacturing of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market, with our head office based in our modern facility near Glasgow International airport in Scotland.

With this continuing success and growth we are looking for an IT Operations Engineer to support our China IT operations.
THE ROLE: Reporting to the GM China as well as the Global IT Operations Manager (UK based), you will be based in Zhangjiang High Tech Park, Pudong and you will be responsible for supporting key information systems, asset management, user support and ensuring smooth day to day operations.
As well as:
- Ensuring that appropriate support is in place for all Peak Scientific systems including backup and recovery procedures.
- Maintaining day to day operation of network, telephony and supporting all users.
- Providing operational management of the Peak network access to LAN, WLAN, WAN through management of network switches, firewalls and data storage.
- Acting as a project manager for small infrastructure and communications projects.
- Keeping abreast of current technology and identify where such technologies could improve company performance.
- Maintaining connectivity and access to cloud services deployed within Peak.
- Assisting in development of ERP functionality and reporting, as well as training documentation.
- Helping ensure consistency with the Group Technology Standards.
- Supporting and managing local websites and domains, including supporting the further development of local web presence.
THE CANDIDATE: You will be dynamic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and have the ability to work both independently and within a close-knit team. A positive attitude is a prerequisite and good communication skills is key. In addition you will have the following -
