Junior Digital Designer - Glasgow

Job Title:             Junior Digital Designer
Location:             Inchinnan, near Glasgow Airport
 
We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Digital Designer to join our growing Marketing team.
 
You will provide creative design support to the global marketing function with a focus on digital graphics design, image and graphics manipulation and website content creation and upkeep. You will support the creative function with content creation (literature, digital promotions, video, blogs, etc) and initially you will be involved with new website development project.
 
THE ROLE: Reporting to the Creative Manager, your main duties and responsibilities will include:
  • Creating digital graphics content for marketing email campaigns, social media and websites
  • Assisting with the SEO and daily/regular administration of company website(s)
  • Assisting with creation and updating of company presentations and other digital documentation
  • Assisting with creation, editing and preparation of print artwork files when required
  • Creating ad-hoc company stationary and branded business documentation
 
THE CANDIDATE: You will be an aspiring junior digital creative, with a keen interest in web. Our ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design (essential)
  • good understanding of image constraints for both web and print (essential)
  • an HND in design related discipline
  • proficient and experienced in use of Adobe CS
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • understand current SEO best practices (highly desirable)
  • knowledge of javascript and PHP would be advantageous
  • video production and/or product photography skills would be advantageous
