Key Account Manager – EMEA

Glasgow, Inchinnan, Renfrewshire with 30-40% travel within EMEA Regions

As EMEA Key Account Manager reporting to the General Manager for EMEA, you will be responsible for growing and developing the most important client accounts across the EMEA region. Working alongside the EMEA leadership team, local sales teams and global OEM team, you will build strong relationships with key accounts and support the development of local and regional account growth strategies.

Key elements will include:

  • Leading the development of the EMEA Peak Key Account strategy and implementing it effectively across the region
  • Managing the regional EMEA OEM and other key account relationships
  • Working alongside the local EMEA and global OEM teams map each of the key account organisations to develop a good insight of key decision makers & stakeholders.  From this develop, nurture and grow relationships and initiate plans for account success   
  • Bringing together each of the territory key account / OEM relationships, and identifying synergies across the region to unlock sales growth
  • Driving the following critical activities:
    • Lead account negotiations and implement and maintain commercial agreements
    • Develop sustainable account growth plans
    • Working alongside commercial peers develop sustainable growth plans
    • Key point of contact for Key Account escalations and issue resolution
    • Implement pricing strategies
  • Key point of communication for regional, service and territory managers providing them with regular and important customer updates.  Supporting local Key Account strategic and tactical plans
  • Developing emerging accounts such as, VWR, LLG, Cole Palmer etc and identify new ones across region
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance and provide regular updates to management.  
  • Supporting the promotion and marketing of all Peak products, including new product launches, and services to Key Accounts
  • Delivering commercial performance improvements and sales growth of key accounts across region

Skills and Qualifications -

  • Previous experience in account management, commercial and sales environments across Europe
  • Strong awareness and appreciation for diverse markets, market channels, people & cultures across the EMEA region
  • HND / Bachelor degree preferred but not essential
  • Product and service offering knowledge and the ability to identify opportunities with clients and OEMs for commercial growth
  • Business development – able to quickly identify areas for profitable account growth
  • Strong communicator, influencer and experienced relationship builder
