Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Lead Quality Technician to join our Quality team at Peak HQ in Inchinnan, Renfrew.
In this role, you will lead and motivate a team of Technicians whilst communicating company goals and safety practices. You will have the opportunity to develop processes, policies and to introduce efficiency savings. Reporting to the QC Manager, you will support them with hiring, training and helping the department to comply with ISO 9001 2009/ 2015.
Duties will include:
- Creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
- Communicating deadlines and goals to team members
- Delegating tasks and setting deadlines
- Creating departmental reports
- Distributing reports to the appropriate personnel
- Maintaining calibration certificates for all test and measurement equipment and maintaining validation of operation
- Conducting where required inspections on in-coming materials on/off site
- Creating, monitoring and driving Non-Conformance with manufacturing and suppliers and re-work of parts where applicable, in line with company procedures
- Maintaining the company MRP system in terms of in-house damaged goods and the physical rejection process
- Maintaining accurate and legible quality records of product build, test and concessions
The successful candidate must have proven experience in leading a team within Quality and possess exceptional communication and decision-making skills.
