Peak Scientific Instruments, a fast–growing global company specialising in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the chemical analysis, life science and biomedical market is looking to recruit a Marketing Specialist. This role can be based from either our Delhi or Mumbai office.

The Marketing Specialist will report to the Head of Sales – India & South Asia, with a dotted line to the Marketing Director. You will be responsible for local marketing activities in India & SEA to support the sales team’s efforts, with primary focus on analytical/laboratory market and in accordance with regional sales strategy and global marketing strategy.

The purpose of this role is to increase lead generation, enhance sales funnel quality and to support high brand awareness. You will proactively develop specific and relevant marketing campaigns for India and SEA sales channels, including distributor and reseller channel marketing support. Key duties include:

  • Be primary point of contact for India and SEA sales teams for marketing support, helping to better define local specific marketing needs, objectives and suggest effective tactics to achieve this
  • Liaise with global marketing team for localized campaign and collateral delivery, you will be the India-based extension to the global marketing function of Peak
  • Hold local responsibility for marketing expenditure for the region within limits of any agreed allocated budget via General Manager and Marketing Director
  • Work with HQ to create educational material and sales-aids for local sales team and resellers/distributor channel as required
  • Co-ordinate local advertising and promotional needs in accordance with global messaging and promotional strategy
  • Co-ordinate all local exhibition and seminar activity in collaboration with Global Exhibitions Manager (HQ)
  • Work closely with India business development team to develop improved outcomes from lead qualifying and lead generation
  • Take responsibility for creating locally relevant content and working with HQ team, for regional website pages to improve SEO
  • Provide Marketing Director and General Manager with monthly reporting of marketing activities and output

Our ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of the role and the value of marketing in a B2B technology business and possess the following skills, knowledge and 3-5 years’ experience:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
  • Well organized with the ability to co-ordinate events involving people and material logistics
  • Knowledge of e-mail marketing tools
  • Comfort with product technical data and translating features to user benefit
  • Experience of using CRM and managing leads and metrics
  • Copywriting and proof-reading skills would be advantageous
  • Creative thinker and problem solver with high degree of initiative
  • Self-starter able to motivate themselves and work at a distance from core marketing team
  • Familiarity and competency with Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel and Word
  • Experience in using collaborative project/workflow tools such as Redbooth or Basecamp
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment market would be advantageous

Science graduate with added degree in marketing will be an added advantage.
