INDIA COMPANY: Established in 2008, Peak India is headquartered in New Delhi, with offices in Mumbai and Hyderabad and regional presence in various other states. We are responsible for sales, marketing, and servicing of all of Peak’s products in India & South Asia. We have an outstanding reputation for fast and efficient service to our client base throughout the region and have a team of more than 40 employees in India.
 
THE ROLE: The position will be responsible for leading generator sales business of India, working with the regional Sales Managers and Team’s across all market/product segments (primary focus on analytical/laboratory market), in accordance with, and under direction of India and global sales strategy. Drive sales numbers, strategize pricing, forecast accuracy, increase lead generation, OEM relations, team development.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Development of Annual Sales Plan and strategies for generator business in India in line with Global Business Objectives
  • Leads team of Regional Managers, Key Account Manager with the responsibility to deliver targets for booking and shipping and grow the generator sales business.
  • Understands the market dynamics and is able to create and deploy strategic initiatives (Gain Share, Grow the Market, ensure optimal Product /Portfolio mix, improve margins and coverage ) by understanding the key customers and their buying process and other market imperatives
  • Ensures Sales Funnel Review cadence across the team. Effectively manage prospect funnel periodically and drive generate new customer leads. Leveraging SAP as a growth tool will be a key enabler for success in this role
  • Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
  • Ability to size up talent, provide them growth direction and mentoring to grow & develop within the organization
  • Demonstrate command of scientific knowledge to engage in collaborative sale
  • Partner cross-functionally to appropriately address the needs of customer base
  • Working closely with OEM partners and managing excellent relations to maintain and grow the OEM business.
  • Successfully navigate and manage a multi-tiered sale
  • Engage in accurate forecasting
  • Reporting the market intelligence and developing competition counter strategies.
 
 
Team Management
  • Proactively manage and monitor individual and team performance to ensure work objectives and standards are achieved and formally address sub-standard performance quickly and constructively, in line with Company procedures.
  • Motivate and encourage your team to realise their full potential and objectives.
  • Undertake an Annual Performance Development Review and interim reviews for the team ensuring regular review of goals and objectives.
  • Ensure all unauthorised/unplanned absences are effectively managed.
  • Actively seek to develop the skills and capabilities of the team and that any skills gaps are identified.
 
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Sciences, advanced degree preferred
  • Extensive commercial experience (Preferably in Capital instruments/ gas industry)
  • 14-18 years of Prior Experience in leading sales teams involved in high end Equipment/ gas sales
  • Prepared to Travel 50% of time
  • Self-motivated with can do attitude who can inspire team for larger goals
  • Ability to structure a solution in uncertain situation
  • Ability to lead team and coach sales associates
  •  Ability to do multitasking in high paced complex business dynamics
