We’re delighted to be recruiting a Planner to make a significant contribution to our award–winning, global technology manufacturing business here at Peak Scientific.
Based in our HQ and reporting to the Lead Planning Officer, you will play a pivotal role in liaising across departments to enable 100% on time delivery for our Customers. This is a varied and pivotal role in enabling our organisation to serve our customers to the highest standard.
Duties will include:
- Analysing and managing the order book whilst ensuring no aging orders and promoting on-time delivery to all our customers
- Highlighting any risk of delay in any shipment to Operations Manager
- Creating and managing Manufacturing Works Orders to support both stock requirements and Customer orders
- Maintaining stock position with agreed vendor categories
- Checking vendor lead times to ensure no raw material stop gaps in production
- Liaising with Global and local stock controls to minimise slow moving stock
- Creating daily work schedules using Sap Business One and Beas Manufacturing systems
- Facilitating and liaising with all parties (Despatch, Test, Production, Warehousing, Procurement, Logistics & QC) at daily Production Meeting, ensuring focus on all critical and daily requirements
- Working with the Procurement Team to prioritise and expedite as appropriate any parts shortages that arise from the daily work schedule
The successful candidate will ideally have a few years’ experience in a planning role within a manufacturing background. You will be confident working autonomously, have an excellent work ethic and thrive in being organised whilst liaising across functions.
You will also possess:
- Strong Microsoft Office experience
- Good analytical skills
- SAP Business One or similar Business system knowledge ideally
- Clear and articulate communication skills
- A methodical and structured work approach
