We are looking for Production Supervisors to join our Production team at Peak HQ in Inchinnan, Renfrew. Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, you will be an experienced leader who will relish the challenge of supervising a busy team of technical operators (+15).
Duties will include:
- Working closely with the planning team to ensure work plan is carried out to meet agreed delivery dates
- Monitoring and managing work level and performance standards
- Maintaining all Health and Safety standards which can include writing and interpreting risk assessments and conducting floor safety inspections to identify areas for improvement
- Dealing with absence management, including return to work interviews
- Organising on-going training and development of Technical Operators
- Managing the building and testing of gas generation systems including sub-assemblies
- Running daily meetings to discuss targets, workload and performance issues
The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a fast paced, mechanical/electrical production environment and have the ability to lead and motivate a team. With a positive and pro-active approach, you will take pride in improving productivity/efficiency, developing your team and working closely with the other production supervisors in the achievement of departmental KPIs.
You will also be:
- Self-motivated with a keen sense of enthusiasm and the ability to motivate a team
- Computer literate with experience of operating an integrated IT system
- Genuinely driven to implement continual improvement processes throughout the business (knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques would be advantageous)
- Experienced working in a fast paced manufacturing environment (knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical sub assembly would be advantageous)
- An excellent communicator with people management experience
- Ideally experienced using an ERP system, (SAP B1) would be advantageous
