Project Planner - Glasgow

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Project Planner to join our team in Inchinnan.

This is a newly created role where you will be responsible for the scheduling and administration of specified design projects. This includes scoping, planning and ensuring projects are run to set timescales and pre-arranged budgets, with the relevant risks identified and managed throughout. Regular liaison with other departments will be required to ensure robust communication throughout the project to ensure alignment between the design department and other areas of the business.

THE ROLE: As the Project Planner, reporting to the Design Team Lead, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning of projects from concept to product launch.
  • Ensuring projects run to agreed timescale and budget.
  • Ensuring quality and consistency of project documentation in line with ISO9001.
  • Cross function collaboration.
  • Producing regular project status reports.
  • Controlling risk and issues logs.
  • Creating bill of materials.
  • Assisting with design work when required.

THE CANDIDATE: As an experienced project planner, ideally from a Product Design/Development, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical discipline, you will also have experience of working within a fast paced, dynamic and diverse organisation. With strong presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, you will have the ability to effectively interface and collaborate with customers, suppliers etc. and be able to convey complex ideas in a clear and concise manner. You will also be a self-starter with the ability to follow tasks through to completion with little guidance and have the personal drive to deliver projects to agreed timescales and budgets. Ideally, you will have experience with project management software, Solidworks, ERP systems and ISO90001 quality management system.
