Quality Assurance Specialist - Glasgow

In this key role for Peak Scientific, you will be responsible for ensuring an effective Quality Management system at our Port Glasgow facility and the range of products manufactured. You will have accountability for ensuring processes and standards are maintained for ISO compliance - ISO 13485 and PED certification and other secured standards to lead the successful auditing of processes by regulatory bodies and internal verification.

You will ensure the compliance of work instructions and the control thereof within our document management system as well as the control of the planned maintenance and equipment calibration to ensure a compliant operation and mitigate any OEE loss. As an ambassador for the quality assurance of Peak Gas Generation products and processes, you will also be responsible for incoming goods inspection, material marshalling and quality checks to outgoing goods to defined quality standards.

Your duties will include:

  • Operational compliance to the Quality Management System
  • Continuously reviewing process and documentation compliance to applicable standards
  • Accountability for external and internal auditing compliance
  • Material inspection, incoming, in process and outgoing to quality standards
  • Managing non-conforming material and reporting on supplier performance
  • Equipment calibration schedule mitigating production downtime
  • Being the point of contact and support for Product Compliance Engineer

The successful candidates will have ISO 9001:2015 and 13485 experience with technical aptitude and a high attention to detail.

You will also possess:

  • Proficiency for clear and effective communication
  • The ability to build and manage relationships effectively, working well individually and as part of a team
  • Self-motivation with exceptional time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to multi-task while keeping focus and high standards
