Peak Scientific Instruments, a fast–growing company specialising in the manufacture of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market is looking to hire a Sales Engineer for Hong Kong.
We have gained an outstanding reputation in the market place, having recently won our 6th Queen’s award for industry. We have plans to grow significantly over the next few years. 90% of our products are exported to over 100 countries and we have a number of global offices including USA, China, South Africa, India, Brazil, Singapore, Mexico and Australia.
POSITION
Reporting to the Service Manager for South East Asia, this new role will involve travel around Hong Kong and Macau and will be responsible for:
- Carry out planned maintenance, repairs, installations and training as well as general support in a professional, prompt and efficient manner to ensure total customer satisfaction
- Respond effectively and professionally to all requests for service and support (telephone and email) internal and external
- Maintaining personal stock of parts and carry out inventory checks as requested
- Maintaining clear and accurate service reporting for all work carried out
- Commercially develop both sales and service business in the territory
- Liaising with technical support to ensure a high level of communication and co-operation for all aspects of customer and product support
- Informing Service Manager of all serious customer complaints and escalations
- Taking the initiative to continually enhance and develop knowledge and understanding of the complete product range
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Skills required:
- Experience of maintaining pressure systems and transportable gases in a similar or related industry would be an advantage
- Good understanding/experience of electronics, hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Customer focussed with a hard work ethic
- Sales/service experience in Hong Kong
- Excellent problem solver for both technical and commercial problems
- Ability to adapt and to communicate well with people at all levels
- Strong business and commercial acumen
- Strong language skills, including English
- A degree in a relevant scientific subject. i.e. Chemistry or similar.
