Peak Inc. is the rapidly expanding North American arm of Peak Scientific, with its main US office located in Billerica, Massachusetts, and plans for significant further growth over the next few years. You would be joining a North American team of around 50 staff, including dedicated sales and field service engineer teams covering the whole of mainland US and key territories in Canada. Peak Scientific is a global leader in gas generation for analytical laboratories, operating worldwide with sales in over 120 countries and offices in every continent. THE POSITION
 
As Sales Manager reporting to our General Manager – North America, you will be responsible for the following –
  • Management of US and Canada based Territory Sales team (14+)
  • Strategic growth of Peak Scientific’s business across North America
  • Developing and exploiting new market opportunities across all product groups, expanding the customer base and growing the business
  • Regular account reviews with key customers, channel partners and distributors
  • Developing and enhancing local level relationships with OEM partners increasing and subsequently maintaining sales through this channel
  • Driving profitability of the region through sales growth and margin retention
  • Strategic collaboration with other key internal business units both in North America and Globally
  • Introducing appropriate processes, controls and measurements
  • Team management, recruitment & development
THE CANDIDATE
 
Educated to Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as head of sales in a senior management team.
You will also have:
  • A strong business acumen
  • Extensive knowledge of North American markets with relevant industry experience
  • Proven Sales Manager with a track record
  • Customer focussed
  • Innovative, with the creative capability to grow the business
  • Experienced at managing personal and team targets
  • Extensive experience at building and driving a sales team
  • Problem solver, able to find creative solutions
  • Excellent inter-personal skills, able to develop relationships and adapt to different cultures
  • Experience at managing/overseeing a multi-functional team
