Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager, this role will lead the Sales Orders team in all areas of order processing and management of generator, service spares and service contract orders. You will proactively support on-time, accurate fulfilment of orders.
The successful candidate will excel in working with initiative, handling escalations in a timely manner, liaising cross-functionally to remove roadblocks to fulfilment, and managing correspondence with customers and other internal teams.
Your duties will also include:
- Facilitating training, goal setting in alignment with company objectives, and delivering performance appraisals for the Sales Orders Team
- Working with the Sales Operations Manager to develop fit-for-purpose reporting and governance mechanisms
- Acting as the first point of contact for order escalations and working with Operations to expedite critical orders
- Collaborating effectively with internal functions across the globe
- Liaising with Sales and Operations functions to manage material allocation of constrained parts across backlog, in line with age and priority
- Accurately reporting of departmental KPIs, driving root cause investigation and implementing effective corrective actions where necessary
- Playing a key part in process mapping and improvement initiatives to document, streamline and optimise Sales Operations activities
You will have demonstrable experience of backlog or escalations management with a proven track record of working to SLAs with CRM/ ERP systems. You will bring a positive ‘can-do’ attitude to this role, with an ability to take ownership of tasks, meet deadlines and effectively prioritise simultaneous requests.
You will also possess:
- Proven leadership qualities, with the ability to drive individuals and process changes in a constructive, positive manner, supervisory experience is advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to reconcile conflict and collaborate effectively with others
- Proven experience of documenting processes, with a continuous improvement ethos
- Ideally a good understanding of order processing and manufacturing processes
- Effective problem solving and decision-making skills whilst being highly customer-focused
- An advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Excel (VLOOKUPs, charts, pivot tables etc.), PowerPoint and Outlook would also be highly advantageous
