Job: Sales Representative – ANZ 

Location: Peak Scientific Australia, Melbourne with 50% travel

THE COMPANY

Peak Scientific Instruments are a multi award winning company, who specialises in the manufacturing of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market, and Industrial generators for wide industry applications, with our head office based in our modern facility near Glasgow International airport in Scotland.

THE ROLE

With our continuing success and growth, we are looking for a Sales Representative – ANZ to drive sales and profitability across Australia and New Zealand for all Peak Products.

Reporting to our Country Manager – ANZ, your key responsibilities will be generator and POS service contract sales to end users in Australia, with a real focus on lead generation and relationship management. Travel across Australia is a requirement of the role, as is a valid driving licence.

From a business development perspective, you will be expected to tap into the end user market and find new sources for leads and attend exhibitions and seminars as appropriate.  You will also be responsible for:

  • providing sales solutions and advice to customers and distributors
  • building, maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers and prospecting new business
  • preparing sales quotations and follow up
  • sales negotiations which help sustain revenue margins
  • CRM maintenance and quote generation
  • developing and maintaining a solid working relationship with key accounts across the business
  • Working proactively with service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need experience of solution selling, ideally within a scientific sector and understanding of laboratory gas requirements would be beneficial.  An excellent technical and commercial problem-solver you are a tactful but rigorous negotiator with the ability to communicate confidently. Happy to operate with independence and autonomy and with intense customer focus, you will also possess:

  • a strong desire to succeed and achieve results
  • a desire to learn and develop within the laboratory gas market
  • excellent time management skills.
