Senior Quality Engineer - Glasgow

In this role, you will work collaboratively with teams throughout Peak and across the global network to provide a focal point for all supplier related quality issues.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Ensuring effective problem-solving techniques are applied to all supplier related issues
  • Leading our supplier audit program, preparing monthly reports and conducting internal audits to ensure compliance and resolve non-conformances
  • Reporting on the supplier quality activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of the relevant Key Performance Indicators
  • Assisting in continuous improvement activities throughout the business ensuring that problems are prevented and that our internal and external customer requirements are met, with any problems resolved effectively and economically
  • Managing and controlling our first article inspection process for components to ensure it is conducted and is to specification

You’ll have demonstrable experience in a similar role within an engineering environment and ideally have a degree in an Engineering discipline. More importantly, you’ll have proven experience with ISO management and be proficient in problem solving using 8D or other tools.

This will suit someone with strong analytical skills, a high attention to detail and someone with excellent communication skills. It would be highly advantageous if you have Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and/ or Lead Auditor ISO9001:2015.
