THE COMPANY: Peak Scientific Instruments are a multi award winning company, who specialises in the manufacturing of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market, with our head office based in our modern facility near Glasgow International airport in Scotland.
 
We have been developing award-winning gas generation products since 1997 and now employ 450 people globally in 20 international offices, with a turnover of £55M. Over the last five years the company has enjoyed impressive annual growth between 25 and 30%, overall and 60% growth across the service division, selling 90% of our gas generator products overseas to over 126 countries. With this continuing success and growth we are looking for a Service Administrator to support our service operations in Australia and New Zealand.
 
THE ROLE: Reporting to the Country Manager ANZ, you will be based in our fully equipped service office in Port Melbourne, Victoria and you will be responsible for:
  • Co-ordinating engineers for the delivery of Service throughout ANZ, including arranging engineers flights, accommodation and car rental for interstate services.
  • Arranging Field Service Schedule to maximise use when travelling
  • Arranging spare parts/ service kits for the engineers to perform services
  • Recording and filing e-reports of site surveys, commissioning, service reports provided by the engineers in SAP
  • Delegating service tickets for phone technical support to the Field service engineer in region
  • Liaising with other departments (sales, logistics, engineering and other Peak service departments) to ensure a high level of collaboration for all aspects of customer support
  • Following the correct use of CRM/ ERP systems for service
  • Escalating technical service issues through the appropriate channels, working with management to ensure a suitable and timely resolution
  • Assessing upcoming service, installations and commissioning, arrange timely order of correct service parts and arrangement of resources required.
 
THE CANDIDATE: You will be dynamic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and have the ability to work both independently and within a close-knit team. A positive attitude is a prerequisite and good communication skills is key. Previous knowledge of SAP/ ERP/ CRM system or data input is essential.
 
In addition you will have the following:
 
  • Very high customer focus
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Understanding of geographical locations, times and distances
  • Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines
  • Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word reports and Excel
