Service Engineer - Spain

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Service Engineer to join our Service division covering Madrid, with travel throughout Spain.
 
THE ROLE: Reporting to the European Service Manager, you will be responsible for providing a high level of service and technical advice for Peak customers, OEM’s, distributors and internal staff.  
You will be responsible for;
  • Carrying out routine maintenance, emergency repairs, installations and training as well as general support in a professional, prompt and efficient manner to ensure total customer satisfaction;
  • Responding effectively and professionally to all customer requests for service and support (telephone and email);
  • Using the service management system and providing accurate data for all field visits in a timely manner;
  • Maintaining and replenishing personal stock of parts and carry out inventory checks as requested;
  • Ensuring and effective liaison with other Peak departments (sales, marketing, logistics, engineering and production) to ensure a high level of communication and co-operation for all aspects of customer and product support;
  • Information service supervisor/manager of all serious customer complaints and escalations that take in excess of 48 hours to resolve;
  • Taking the initiative to continually enhance and develop knowledge and understanding of the complete product range;
  • Supporting distributors and end-users in the territory to help close and develop business;
  • Providing sales and technical advice, and support for OEMs, distributors and end user customers; and
  • Developing and identifying new sources of strategic business growth and development.
THE CANDIDATE:  Educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of working with electronics, hydraulic and mechanical systems, with good practical skills and a methodical approach to problem solving. Previous sales experience would be advantageous. With the ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines, you will be self-motivated and able to work autonomously. Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, coupled with leadership skills, are essential. Experience of maintaining pressure systems and transportable gases in a similar or related industry would be advantageous.
