Peak Scientific Instruments are a multi award winning company, who specialises in the manufacturing of laboratory gas generators for the life science and biomedical market, with our head office based in our modern facility near Glasgow International airport in Scotland.

We have been developing award-winning gas generation products since 1997 and now employ 450 people globally in 20 international offices, with a turnover of £55M. Over the last five years the company has enjoyed impressive annual growth between 25 and 30%, overall and 60% growth across the service division, selling 90% of our gas generator products overseas to over 126 countries. Peak India is a key market for Peak Scientific both in terms of growth and its significant contribution to the £55 million annual turnover of the business. Since opening a dedicated office for India in Hyderabad in 2009 with one Business Development Manager, Peak has and continues to invest heavily in India by expanding operation, moving headquarter to New Delhi along with Regional offices in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bangalore. We now have team of 35 people with dedicated team of Field Sales and Service covering the major regions of India and South Asia.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to both the General Manager - India, your key responsibility will be to enhance and grow the India and Middle East Service network, including the sale of service contracts and spare parts, to deliver 100% satisfaction.  You’ll be tasked with developing the team to deliver an exceptional level of service, increasing service contract and spare parts sales and ensuring Peaks Global service strategy is implemented at the same time as reducing service overheads. A key role will be developing relationships with our OEMs and distributors, ensuring the Global Service Sales Manager is aware of all commercially sensitive issues.

 The role also involves:

  • Deliver Service Sales Business target numbers with double digit CAGR growth for next 3 years
  • Monitor Invoiced Sales and DSO
  • Ensuring the training of all field- and office-based personnel
  • Tracking field failure rates and liaising with Engineering to ensure corrective action
  • Service metrics analysis
  • Managing escalated customer issues and escalating to Global Service Delivery Director as appropriate.
  • You’ll also work closely with the operational service supervisor managers to improve processes for stock management, scheduling and reporting.
  • Whilst maintaining Global response KPI’s who will endeavour to reduce service costs across India and Middle East as a whole.

With a good standard of education, degree preferable, you must have a proven commercial track record in developing and driving global strategy coupled with regional delivery within a technical sector, where you’ve led and managed a large (15+), geographically dispersed team to achieve challenging targets.  You should have the capability to develop specific product knowledge quickly.  Your key attributes will include:
