Service Manager - Singapore

Peak Scientific Instruments, located in Scotland, by Glasgow International Airport, we are a multi award winning and a fast growing company, specializing in the manufacturing of laboratory and industrial gas generators for the life science and biomedical sectors of the market.

We have been developing award-winning gas generation products since 1997 and now employ 400 people globally in 20 international offices. Over the last five years the company has enjoyed impressive annual growth between 25 and 30%, overall and 60% growth across the service division, selling 90% of our gas generator products overseas to over 120 countries. With the success and growth, we are looking for a Service Manager.

Reporting to the Service Manager, APAC, this new role will be based in Singapore with primary responsibility to manage the local Service team to deliver and exceed in the level of service quality and growing service revenues across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. We are looking for individuals who fit our culture and values and possesses a high degree of professionalism but appreciate our non-corporate feel in a fun working environment.

The role also involves:

  • Service metrics analysis
  • Managing escalated customer issues and enforces escalation processes
  • Maintain and strengthen working relationships with our OEMs and regional Distributors
  • Growing the Service network and revenue
  • Maintaining global response KPI’s and endeavour to reduce service costs across countries of remit.
  • Workload management

With a good standard of education, degree preferable but not essential, the candidate must have a proven commercial track record in developing and driving global strategy coupled with regional delivery within a technical sector, where you’ve led and managed a team of 6 - 8, geographically dispersed team to achieve challenging targets.  You should have the capability to develop specific product knowledge quickly.

  • Lead and coach the service team to drive service delivery and service revenue
  • Strong written and spoken English language
  • The resilience to remain effective in the face of pressure
  • Ability to deliver world class service
  • Commercially minded and able to undertake general management duties in the region
  • Smooth running of day to day business, reducing need for HQ intervention
