Service Operations Manager - Paris

Job: Service Operations Manager

Location: Région Parisienne, Essonne, 91120 Palaiseau 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Service Operations Manager, to make a significant contribution to our fast-paced gas generator technology business, which has experienced double digit growth in recent years. Your primary duty will be to assume responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and management of all operational aspects of our French territory.  This role will lead our service delivery function and all local business administration matters, including, HR, Finance, service escalations and overall customer experience.

THE ROLE: Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager for EMENA, you will be responsible for:

  • Directing day-to-day line management of Service team and Office Admin team
  • Planning service delivery resource, scheduling visits ensuring team have required resource to deliver and fulfil our Peak service level agreements
  • The key local point of contact for Peak Service and always represent the company professionally in this manner
  • Providing appropriate level of communication with Service Delivery Manager, updating technical support and administration status, promptly highlighting any serious operational issues.
  • Liaising with other departments at HQ to ensure high level of collaboration in customer support.
  • Providing management with required reports
  • KPI implementation and management
  • Ensure all customer requests are dealt with in a professional and efficient manner maintaining appropriate SLA’s
  • Leading and directing all France local Administration

THE CANDIDATE:  The ideal candidate will have:

  • A License or Master’s degree
  • Fluent in French and English  Additional language(s) beneficial (German, Spanish etc).
  • 5+ Years in a similar supervisor/management role in a similar industry with demonstrable transferable skills
  • Proven management / leadership skills
  • Preferably familiar/experience of scientific / gas market or similar industry
  • Able to grasp and understand technical detail and convey easily
  • Excellent attention to detail and able to implement and improve processes
  • Self-starter - driven with a ‘does what it takes’ attitude
  • Analytical and systematic
  • Strong communicator both spoken and written (in English and French). Able to present technical or complex information in a clear manner & able to adapt style to audience
